Bajaj have released a bike made with the Scrapped metal of India’s first Aircraft Carrier Ship. INS Vikrant was decommissioned in 1997 and was Scrapped after it’s sale through an online auctioned in 2014.
INS Vikrant was played a vital role in the combat against Pakistan during 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.
Bajaj have paid a tribute to the decommissioned heritage ship and have launched a two wheeler vehicle made from the metal of the decommissioned war ship. Bajaj have named the bike as ‘V’ which have also been inspired from the Vikrant’s name. Bajaj V is expected to reach the Indian market in March 2016.
Bajaj V have very sporty look, it’s pumped up fual tank design make it look very muscular. The bike would have a 150cc Single cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC 2 valve, Air cooled, DTS-i engine, which would deliver 12PS Maximum power at 7500RPM.
Bajaj V would be available in two colors Pearl White and Ebony Black with Front Disc break as an option.
Two wheeler manufacturer have also included removable rear cowl tapering with a classic design LED tail lamp to make the Bajaj V look more sporty. The bike is expected to be launched in INR 60-70k price range.
